Just to let students know that the FUTURE IMPERFECT (FUTURO IMPERFECTO) and FUTURE PERFECT (FUTURO PERFECTO) in the subjunctive mood (modo subjuntivo) have fallen into disuse. We still have to learn them in school, but nobody ever uses them anymore.
Future tenses of the Subjunctive Mood are rarely used in present-day Spanish. They are only found in certain fixed expressions (e.g. “sea lo que fuere” / “be that as it may”), proverbs and highly formal legal discourse.

In some Latin American countries, such as Argentina and Uruguay, speakers often refer to the future by using a form of the verb ‘IR’/TO GO conjugated in the Present Tense of the Indicative Mood, plus the preposition “a”, plus a verb in the infinitive form.
Ellos van + a + perder. / They are going to lose.
La niña + va + a + cantar. / The girl is going to sing.

2. El Futuro se usa para expresar probabilidad, duda o conjetura en el tiempo presente. Equivale en inglés a (I wonder, it's probably, it might, etc).
The doubt or conjecture always express a question. This question is made by the speaker for himself because he thinks nobody knows the answer. This is the reason the 1st. singular person is not used, but the third singular person or plural.
La duda o conjetura siempre se expresa en pregunta. Esta pregunta, el hablante la hace como una pregunta retórica para si mismo, porque piensa que nadie sabe la respuesta. Por esta razón no se usa la primera persona, sino la tercera singular o plural.

¿Dónde estará mi amigo en este momento? I wonder where is my friend in this moment?
